Gr 5 Assessments
There are three district-wide assessments required for all SD91 learners in Grade 5:
PM Benchmarks - not required for all learners
Grade 5 learners' literacy competencies such as reading comprehension, phonics and concepts about print can be monitored using the PM Benchmark Reading Assessment. Teachers and Principals can access the necessary documents and instructions for administering PM Benchmark testing here. Training is required before using this tool. Please contact Michelle Miller-Gauthier for training and more information about PM Benchmark Testing. |
CCR - Required in September and May
The Cross-Curricular Reading Assessment (CCR) is administered to all grade 5 students at the end of the year. It is structured around non-fiction reading and comprehension. It has an oral reading conference as well as written answers. Students who have accommodations need to be provided with them for this assessment.
Staff can access the required materials and instruction to administer the CCR assessment here.
SNAP
Gr 5 learners' number sense is assessed using the SNAP number sense assessment. Please access the SNAP template, rubrics and supporting documents here. |
Please use the secure staff apps portal to input your data when assessments are complete.
